Professor Chia-Kun Chen received his Ph.D. in Engineering Science from National Cheng Kung University. He is currently a professor at the Institute of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences, College of Public Health, National Taiwan University.  His areas of expertise include fluid dynamics, flow control, indoor environmental control, ventilation theory and technology, and the development of thermofluids technology. His current research focuses on applying fluid dynamics to hospital/nursing home environments and livestock housing.  To date, he has published nearly 40 high-impact research papers and holds multiple patents and technological innovations.
